US Democratic Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton’s doctor has confirmed that she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday after footage emerged of her stumbling while leaving the 9/11 ceremony early.
She appeared to faint as she was helped into her motorcade. He managers said she was “overheated”.
But reports have it now that her doctor examined the Democratic nominee at her home in New York and prescribed her antibiotics after the incident.
Daily Star reports that Dr Lisa Bardack later examined Clinton at her home in Chappaqua, New York, and confirmed that she has pneumonia.
Dr Bardack said: “She was put on antibiotics and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”
This comes less than two months before the US elections when Americans would choose between Clinton and her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, as President.
Clinton left the ceremony shortly before 9.37am, when a moment of silence was due to take place for the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
It marks the moment a plane flew into the Pentagon in 2001.
