The Nigerian Army has denied reports that Boko Haram terrorists invaded Pulka, a village in Borno State and abducted 22 women.
Reports had it on Saturday that the terrorists, belonging to the Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, invaded two villages and adopted a total of 22 women.
A release signed by Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman, describes the report as false
“We wish state that the report is completely false and should be ignored,” Usman wrote
He further added that “for the avoidance of doubt, Pulka and its environs is heavily fortified and there has not been any security breach in the area. Media houses are please requested to always cross check their facts before publishing or broadcasting.”
