The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has sworn in two new ministers into the federal cabinet.
They are Stephen Ocheni from Kogi State and Suleiman Hassan from Gombe State. They were screened and confirmed by the Senate in May and have been waiting to be sworn in.
They were sworn in Wednesday morning before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive council (FEC) meeting.
They however do not have portfolios yet as the Acting President said their portfolios “will be announced shortly”.
Ocheni is replacing former Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi, who was killed in a motor accident while Suleiman is replacing former Minister of Environment, Hajia Amina Mohammed, who resigned to take up an appointment as the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations (UN).
