The president of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki will hold a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday, Sources reveal.
According to one of the sources, the president will also meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Daily Trust reports.
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will tomorrow (Tuesday) meet with the party’s caucus of the Senate.
The meeting followed the APC resolve to intervene in the ongoing rift between the executive and the National Assembly.
It will be recalled that President Buhari, last Wednesday, set up a committee to resolve the perennial rift between the executive and the legislature.
The committee, chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has as members, all ministers who were at one time federal legislators as well as the Senior Special Assistants to the President on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang (Senate) and Samaila Kawu (House of Representatives).
