Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has reacted to speculations that he has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This comes after his supporters burnt the party’s flag, an action many interpreted as a sign he was done with the party.
But in a statement issued on Friday his media team said the governorship aspirant was “determined to see that the impunity in the PDP is put on check and become a past tense being the main reason we lost the presidency in 2015”
He appreciated the concern of his followers and reminded them that “there’s still an ongoing case in the court to correct all the anomalies in that last charade called Congresses.”
He appealed to his followers to remain calm and await court decision on the issue before any other step could be taken. He urged them to “be focused on the task of rescuing Osun state out of the present economic doldrum.
He acknowledged the people of the state who are showing support for his aspiration to be their governor.
