The General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Dr. Musa Asake, is dead. Reports said he died on Friday morning after an illness.
His death comes about two weeks after he led a nationwide protest called by CAN against the killing of Christians by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The deceased, who has been bery vocal in the decence of Christianity in Nigeria, is an indigene of Southern Kaduna.
President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Christian body over Asake’s death.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, said while commiserating with the family of the late Reverend, Buhari “prays that God Almighty will comfort all those who mourn the departed, and grant his soul eternal rest.”
