Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, is in talks over a £40m move to AC Milan after he revealed the Premier League champions want to sell him, Daily Mirror is reporting.
According to Daily Mail, Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte’s decision to get rid of his top-scorer by text and Costa going public on the private exchange has shocked the Chelsea board and is set to cost the club millions.
The report said Conte sent a goodwill message to all his players wishing them a happy time with their families and reminding them to stay in shape. Costa fired off a reply, enough to irritate Conte who sent back the text which left him in no doubt that he wasn’t part of his plans.
The text exchange was reported to the club by Costa who received a message from Marina Granovskaia telling him to leave negotiations to her.
The Sun reports that Costa has pleaded with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to save his career at Stamford Bridge.
