Conversation between Fayose, El-Rufai on planned sacking of 22,000 Kaduna teachers

There was a short Twitter “conversation” between Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai and Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, over the planned sacking of about 22,000 teachers in Kaduna.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari threw his weight behind El-Rufai’s plan.

But Fayose took to Twitter to condemn El-Rufai’s plan and Buhari’s endorsement.

Fayose tweeted:

I’m warning Nigerians again, the agenda of the APC is to sack workers. They are sacking teachers in Kaduna and Buhari is supporting them.

El-Rufai replied:

Your Excellency Sir,

We are not sacking teachers in Kaduna. Rather, we are replacing unqualified people who are unfit to be called teachers to save the future of the next generation.
