A former deputy governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Taofeek Arapaja, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former ambassador to Jordan and his supporters joined his new party in Ibadan South East Local Government Area.
He was received by the lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina; APC State Secretary, Hon. Mojeed Olaoya and a former commissioner in the state, Alhaji Abideen Oladimeji.
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Ibadan South East Local Government, Alhaji Najeemdeen Abass, and party chairman in the council, Mr Kayode Arowolo stressed that the Oyo APC is united and fully prepared for the forthcoming local government election as well as the 2019 elections.
It would be recalled that Arapaja’s former boss, ex-Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala defection to the APC last November.
