The authorities of Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State have banned the use of condom-like fabrics, tattoos, pencil trousers, bushy beards and bizarre haircuts among students in the institution.
The university is owned by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Nigeria.
At strategic locations on the beautiful campus, the institution placed the conspicuous notice reminding. students of the ban of the above listed items and forms of behavior, insisting that none of them would be condoned.
The notice, which was signed by the Vice President. Student Development, and dated April 11, 2016, was primarily to welcome students back to a new semester.
It read:
“Dear student, while thanking God for a fulfilling semester, please note the following reminders:
A. Prohibition of Lycra, bodicon and condom-like materials.
B. Prohibition of pencil trousers, face caps.
C. Prohibition of bizarre haircut, bushy/long hair styles, bushy beards.
D. Tattoo is discountenancef henceforth at Babcock University.’
