President Muhammadu Buhari will return to the country today, Saturday, August 19, 2017 after being in London for more than 102 days, receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement this morning.
Mr. Adesina said the “President Buhari is expected to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast by 7 a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017”.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has been functioning as Acting President since Buhari left on May 7, 2017
According to the statement, Buhari thanks all Nigerians who have prayed ceaselessly for his recovery and well-being since the beginning of the health challenge.
