Some state governors are planning to conduct the kind of competency tests the Kaduna state government conducted for primary school teachers in public schools.
Kaduna governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, in a tweet this morning, disclosed that some state governors have contacted him for information.
He revealed that the Kogi state government “led by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. J.S Tolorunleke are in Kaduna to understudy the competency test conducted for primary school teachers in public schools so as to replicate the same in Kogi State”
He tweeted: “FLASH: Few other State Governors have contacted the Kaduna State Government showing interest in conducting competency tests for primary school teachers in public schools. We will continue to share our experience so as to salvage the education sector in Nigeria”.
The governor tweeted photos showing Alhaji Abubakar Salihu (DAF SUBEB) on behalf of Kaduna State Government presenting a document which contains the processes and procedures used in conducting the competency test to the Kogi State Government’s delegation.
