Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, eldest son of late playwright and Ogoni activist Ken Saro-Wiwa, has died in a London hospital, family sources say.
Reports said he sufered a stroke on Saturday and then slipped into coma on Monday. He was placed on life support, but he died on Tuesday evening.
TheCable quoted a source close to the family as saying that the deceased had been in and out of the hospital after suffering from a lung-related disease.
The younger Ken Saro-Wiwa whonwould have been 48 on November 28, 2016, was educated at Stancliffe Hall School and Tonbridge School in England and then at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies.
He served as aide to ex-presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan.
He was editor of the UK Guardian’s New Media Lab, developing content for the newspaper’s online edition.
