Another event to project the beauty of African continent in Europe is set to hold this weekend June 25 and 26, 2016 in the city of Bologna as the first edition of Miss Africa will be held in the capital city of Emila-Romagna region.
While the preliminary selections and castings have long started across Italy that culminated in the emergence of the choice of the finalists that will march past the panel of judges to determine the eventual winner and second and third runners-up on Sunday at the Chinese Restaurant, Wok in Via Caracci, Bologna.
According to Mr. Paul Okoye, promoter of Afro Image Foundation and the Business Relationship manager of Small World Financial Services, he said that, “Miss Africa Italy is a valid and a formidable beauty pegeant birthed late 2015, with the aim of showcasing the beauty, culture, talent and sound creativity of young African girls residing in Italy through a “Miss Africa Italy is going to be an annual event that is geared towards promoting and encouraging young vibrant girls to run with a vision of living a positive lifestyle that add core value to the society. and being sponsored by multi.milion Euro company called SMALLWORLD FINANCIAL SERVICES, and this is why the first, second and third runner-up winner will smile home with thousand of cash prizes and other benefits, like a vacation trip to Paris, and a possibility to get a modelling contract for smallworld financial services.”
He went further that the vision of the program include, but not limited to: Project the actual positive immage of Africa to Italians as a nation and the world at large, strengthing the core relationship between Africans and Italians as a nation, empower young women through self actualisation, career development and humanitarian services and impact positively Africans in diaspora and Africans based in Africa through charitable projects.
As part of the programe, a four nation footbal tournament will be held between Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroun and Morocco where prizes and gifts will be given to the winners.
Expected at the grand-finale on Sunday are the Ambassadors and diplomatic envoys from Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco and Cameroun.
