The 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has been scheduled to hold at the Premier Hotel in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, the National President of the institute, Dr. Rotimi Oladele has disclosed.
The AGM and election will hold from April 13 to 15, 2016.
Dr. Oladele who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Willy Ogbidi, said Ibadan was carefully chosen for its strategic location and importance to the practice of the profession in Nigeria.
The theme of this year’s AGM and conference is: “Networking for National Economy: the Synergy of Agriculture and Communication.”
The Local Organising Committee Chairperson, Mrs Yetunde Alagbe, assured the national leadership of the commitment of her committee to conduct a successful AGM, conference and election.
The 11-man committee was inaugurated last Thursday. Other members of the committee were drawn from five Southwest states.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief Audu Ogbeh, are expected at the conference.
