Olubadan confers chieftaincy titles on Tinubu, Kalu, 8 others

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has concluded plans to confer chieftaincy titles on All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and former governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Bukar Ibrahim.

The ceremony is part of activities marking the first year coronation anniversary of the monarch.

Oba Adetunji was installed as the 41st Olubadan of Ibadanland on March 4, 2016.

Chairman of the anniversary planning committee, Oloye Lekan Alabi, speaking to newsmen in Ibadan on Sunday, said that the anniversary will begin on March 1.

The programme is as follows:

  • March 1 – Olubadan City carnival
  • March 2 – Public lecture and tree planting
  • March 5 – Conferment of chieftaincy titles on 10 eminent Nigerians
