Patrick Vieira quits New York City, appointed manager of French side, Nice

Former Arsenal midfielder, Patrick Vieira, has been appointed as new manager of Nice after quitting as New York City FC boss.

Vieira, a former French international will take over from Lucien Favre who left to become Borussia Dortmund manager.

Vieira, 41, has been in charge of the MLS franchise since 2016, having led Manchester City reserves following his retirement from playing.

He was among those considered as possible replacement for Arsene Wenger who left Arsenal last month.
