Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has kicked off a programme aimed at clothing 10,ooo indigent children in the state.
About 200 tailors empowered to sew the cloths have started producing various sizes of dresses for children aged between one and 10.
The cloth production centres will be spread across the 16 local government areas in the state.
The governor, while announcing the plan last week, promised to buy 100 sewing machines to support volunteer tailors during the exercise.
He added that the sewing machines would later be given out to the tailors through a transparent balloting process.
