Former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has finally returned to the Labour Party in his state.
Mimiko found his way back to the party he left before the 2015 elections, despite a resistance by national chairman of party, Mike Omotosho. The party chairman on Wednesday accused the former governor of attempting to destabilise the party, vowing that his attempt to return to the party would be resisted.
Mr Mimiko, in his letter of resignation which he addressed to the PDP in the state on Wednesday, said his reasons for resigning from the party were “personal” and “well thought-out.”
“I hereby with utmost humility inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the PDP with effect from today, June 13, 2018 for some well thought-out personal reasons,” the former two term governor, said.
