Coleen Rooney, wife of Everton striker, Wayne Rooney, says she is reconstructing her marriage to Wayne with date nights and cinema tips.
Coleen has given the footballer another chance after his drink-drive scandal with party girl Laura Simpson by his side last year.
Coleen said they have been trying to spend more quality time together and have fun with their kids.
She told The Mirror: “We’ll have date nights, we go to the cinema, it will depend on what we’ve got on throughout the week. I’ve got a good support network around me, so we do get time to ourselves.
In November, Coleen shared a Facebook post revealing that she’s giving her nine year marriage a second chance after Wayne’s mistakes. She made reference to the night of her husband arrest and blamed the influence of alcohol for his behavior.
She wrote: “One thing I do know is that two much alcohol on a night out is dangerous and a lot of stupid mistakes are made and things are said under the influence. I would never trust anyone who has had a lot of alcohol, it changes people drastically.”
She admitted she still loved Wayne in a candid Instagram post and vowed to give their marriage another chance.
She wrote: “I know I would be fine on my own, with just me and my children, but I don’t want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do.
“I’m not saying everything is fine and forgotten about, but we are as good as can be at this point, I’m not the type of person to put a show on and say we’re all loved-up….I’m just real.”
