Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay says information availble to him shows that every senator in Nigeria gets N29 million as monthly salary and allowances.
According to the Nation, Sagay disclosed this in Lagos on Wednesday when he spoke at the Nigerian Society of International Law (NSIL) Public Lecture titled “The Many Afflictions of Anti-Corruption Crusade in Nigeria”.
“From the information I have gathered, a Nigerian Senator earns about N29 million a month and over N3 billion a year”he said
According to Sagay, the comprehensive breakdown of the amount senators get is as follows:
