Reports have it that Senate President, Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, as well as other principal officers in the National Assembly were on Thursday prevented from entering the presidential villa.
The lawmakers, it was gathered, were supposed to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari this evening to discuss on the approval of the 2018 budget by Federal Executive Council.
It was however learnt that invited by President Buhari, the lawmakers went to the Villa in a bus but security told other lawmakers to alight from the bus and walk for a security while only Saraki and Dogara were allowed in the bus.
Saraki and Dogara declined the directive and told his crew to make a U-turn, insisting that they were all invited and so should ride in the bus together.
