The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, Bashir Ahmad, has explained why President Muhammadu Buhari who resumed work today would be working from home.
Ahmad in a tweet said the President’s villa office was being renovated and so he can not resume there now. He however did not say when the renovation would be completed.
“Some renovations are on going at the office. He’s a fully equipped office in his residence, he’ll be back to the main office after the works”, Ahmad tweeted.
The President this morning transmitted a letter to the National Assembly informing the legislature that he was resuming duties after returning from medical treatment in London which lasted 103 days.
But SaharaReporters, in a news flash, stated that the President would be working from home on doctors’ advise.
The online news medium added in the news flash that Monday morning’s broad ast by the President was pre-recorded in order to avoid any accident.
Ahmad’s response has been rejected on Twitter. He was even accused of deleting an earlier tweet where he had said Buhari’s office was ready and missing the President.
Other Twitter users wondered why the President’s office suddenly needed renovation.
