A 20-year-old student of political science at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has been arrested in Lagos for engaging in ritual activities. The suspect identified as Victor Nnacheta allegedly consulted two herbalist cum Islamic clerics based in Abeokuta to help him perform a ritual for making money through sports betting business, Bet9ja.
The herbalists, Nurudeen Shodaolu and Kabiru Badmus asked him to provide human skull and body parts for the exercise.
It was gathered that the herbalists hired the services of two cemetery workers, Mayewunmi Lukmon and Olanrewaju Jimoh who exhumed dead bodies and cut off the head with other body parts needed for the ritual. When the items were provided, it is said that the skull and other parts were crushed and mixed with a black soap which Nnacheta, a 300-level student, was advised to use in bathing before going to the bett shop.
Nnacheta told police he paid N250,000 for the ritual which he expects would make him rich in the betting business.
Nnacheta, the herbalists and the two cemetery workers are currently in police net.
