2019: Oyo APC promises level playing field for all aspirants

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state has promised to ensure level playing field for all members aspiring for elective positions in 2019.

Chairman of the party in the state, Chief Akin Oke, disclosed this while receiving the chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, at the party Secretariat Oke Ado Ibadan.

Oke maintained that the party is open for every body and will allow free, fair and credible primary elections for all aspirants

“At the party level, we have agreed that no member of the exco or state working committee should campaign or openly support any aspirants”, he said.

He said further that the party is poised for victory in 2019 as none of the opposing parties in the state have the capacity to match the APC

Oke also disclosed some aspirants including Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan and Engineer Yunus Akintude out of over 30 people jostling for the seat have visited the party to declare their intention to vie for governorship in 2019.

While welcoming Senator Buhari to the party secretariat, the party vice chairman Alhaji Adewole Alimi described Senator Buhari as a strong pillar of the party in Oyo state.

Senator Buhari commended the party leadership for holding forth and ensuring the party is intact since the time of struggle for power till date.

He urged them not to relent in their efforts in positioning the party for victory in the coming election and promised to continue to support the party.
