Senate President Bukola Saraki has appointed a former media aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Doyin Okupe, as Chairman of his Presidential Campaign Media Council.
Saraki, who is a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made the announcement on his Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.
He wrote: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Doyin Okupe as the Chairman of my Presidential campaign’s Media Council. Dr. Okupe has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC).
“Dr. Okupe brings many years of strategic insight to my campaign team, having worked as the Director of Communications for the Presidential campaigns of two former presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.
