Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has appointed former senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye and Daniel Bwala as his spokespersons for the 2023 presidential campaign.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Paul Ibe, on Thursday.
He said that the appointment took immediate effect.
Reacting to the appointment, Malaye took to his Twitter handle to thank Abubakar, promising not to let him and the party down.
“I thank Atiku Abubakar for appointing me as his spokesperson and that of the pdp presidential campaign in a letter personally written by the next president of Nigeria. Thank you sir and l will not let you or our great party down. God bless you sir and VP Okowa. Lets go,” Malaye tweeted
Melaye, hails from Ayetoro Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, and was a member of the 8th Senate.
Bwala, who is a legal practitioner and public affairs analyst, hails from Adamawa State.
