As activities toward the 2023 general elections gather momentum, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and 20 other All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirants have concluded arrangement to converge in Abuja as part of ongoing efforts to ensure victory for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at the presidential election.
The party stalwarts, according to a statement issued on Thursday by one of the aspirants, Dr Nicholas Felix, are billed to “brainstorm on adopting winning campaign strategies that will carry every Nigerian along and address the challenges bedevilling the country.”
Those expected at the parley scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, are former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Science and Technology Minister, Ogbonnaya Onu; former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.
Five serving governors– Yahaya Bello (Kogi); Dave Umahi (Ebonyi); Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa); Ben Ayade (Cross River) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti)–are also expected at the parley.
Others include former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Senator Ajayi Boroffice; former Zamfara State Governor, Ahmad Sani; former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha; former Senate President, Ken Nnamani; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; fiery cleric, Tunde Bakare; Businessman, Dr. Nicolas Felix; former Information Minister, Ikeobasi Mokelu; Businessman, Tein Jack-Rich and the only female among aspirant, Uju Ken-Ohanenye.
