Ayodeji Emmanuel, the 24-year-old man that was kidnapped on Monday from his father’s farm at Oke Odan, Olomo area of Apete community in Ibadan, Oyo State by Fulani herdsmen, has regained his freedom.
It was gathered that the victim was released in Iseyin town, in Oke Ogun area of the state, at about 7:15pm on Thursday.
However, the amount paid as ransom to secure the release of the young man was unknown
A source close to the family said that the young man was being given raw cassava as food through out the three days he spent with his abductors before he was released.
Ayodeji also confirmed his release via a post on his Twitter handle.
When contacted, the Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the development, saying the victim has been reunited with his family.
Fadeyi added that the police are still on the trail of the abductors, with the intent of arresting them.
