Twenty-eight months after sacking him, Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun on Tuesday reinstated Comrade Akeem Ambali as State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the State.
The President of NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, revealed this after an exhaustive meeting between the State government and national leaders of NLC, at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Recall that Ambali and 14 others were sacked by the state government on October 31, 2016 for what it termed alleged misconduct during the 2016 World Teachers Day celebration.
The government set up a panel of enquiry to investigate them for their individual roles during the celebration on October 5, 2016. While the other 15 labour leaders dismissed and suspended were pardoned, Ambali’s case was not revisited.
The NLC President said after the meeting that all issues raised by NLC as regards workers welfare have been resolved. He said the issues affecting the staffs of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu -Ijebu, had been resolved.
