The current transfer window closes in seven days time, and Mario Balotelli, whose loan deal with AC Milan has expired, is yet to find a club.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has already told him that he has no future in Liverpool.
As far back as July, Klopp told him he is free to leave but no club wants him! This week, Italian Serie A club, turned him down.
This is a player who is still only 26 and whom Roberto Mancini once claimed could reach the heights of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sassuolo, which finished 6th last season, concluded that Balotelli was not worth the gamble.
Turkish side Besiktas had already killed their interest in Balotelli, with chairman Fikret Orman saying:
“Balotelli is a major star but a troubled player – he has got an image”.
Ajax were interested a few weeks ago but they also seem to have taken a step back.

Below is what Daily Mail UK report wrote about the Italian.
Complex characters are worth the hassle if they contribute on the field but this is a player who scored one goal in 20 games for AC Milan in the Serie A last season and one goal in 16 league appearances for Liverpool during the previous campaign.
Reportedly, Manchester City did privately let Liverpool know that Balotelli was not a risk worth taking in the summer of 2014. Quite why Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool’s decision makers then pressed ahead anyway only they can answer.
Balotelli’s contract with Liverpool expired at the end of this season. He currently earns £90,000 per week.
