DOG BITES WOMAN….okay, it happens, it is not unusual. WOMAN BITES DOG! Hello, that’s unusual but it happened.
A grandmother has revealed how she had to bite an Alsatian dog in a desperate attempt to save her pet dog which the Alsatian was attacking.
June Hatton was walking her Yorkshire Terrier Milly in Ipplepen, Devon, when the animal attacked her, sinking its teeth into the dog’s neck.
After being unable to pull the animal off her pet, the 80-year-old bit it in the hopes it would relent.
Despite her efforts her pet was mauled to death and Mrs Hatton was left with tufts of the Alsatian’s hair in her teeth.
Describing the moment she jumped on the animal, the mother-of-four was quoted by MailOnline as saying: ‘I bit him through instinct – and I would definitely do the same again.’
“The Alsatian had its jaws so tightly around my dog’s neck and just would not let her go,’ added Mrs Hatton, a retired chiropodist.
“It happened so quickly that I did not really have the time to think.’
“I fell to the ground and I tried to bite the dog but all I had was a mouth full of hair. If I had a knife then I would have stabbed it”.
