Sen Ademola Adeleke and his running mate, Kola Adewusi, have taken the oath of office and allegiance as Osun State Governor and Deputy Governor respectively.
The oaths were administered on both men by the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, at a well attended event.
Adeleke came into the venue in a long convoy of vehicles at around 11:20am and took his oath at 11:50am.
Present at the main bowl of Osogbo City Stadium to witness the event were dignitaries that include Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate and his running mate, Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa respectively; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom.
Also in attendance were Governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto) and Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Others include wife of PDP presidential candidate, Titi Atiku- Abubakar, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, and former Oyo State Governor, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, among others.
