The immediate past governor of Oyo State, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi and Arc. Waziri Bulama have been sworn-in as the Deputy National Chairman(South) and national Secretary of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
The ceremony took place before the National Working Committee(NWC) meeting of the party scheduled for today.
Ajimobi; the Deputy National Secretary, Victor Giadom; National Vice Chairman, North East, Mustapha Salihu; Deputy National Organising Secretary, Mohammed Ibrahim; the National Vice Chairman North West, Inuwa Abdulkadir and the National Financial Secretary, Tajudeen Bello were among the early callers at the party secretariat.
The NWC had on Monday night scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, to be presided by its national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The announcement of the meeting came after the Court of Appeal in Abuja had on Monday halted the March 4 verdict of the Abuja High Court suspending Oshiomhole as the party’s National Chairman.
APC’s spokesperson, Lanre Issa-Onilu, in the statement on Monday night, stated that “important matters concerning the party will be considered and deliberated at the meeting.”
The meeting is still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
