The Oyo State Government has announced that another series of Governor Abiola Ajimobi Free Health Mission will start today, Monday at the Adeoyo Maternity Teaching hospital, Yemetu Ibadan.
The programme which is part of the events commemorating the sixth anniversary of the Ajimobi Administration, will hold across the six geo-political zones of the state.
The free Health Mission involves free surgical services, screening and treatment of high blood pressure, diabetics, malaria, family planning, HIV screening, immunization and vitamin A for children under one year.
According to the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Toye Arulogun, the free health mission for Ibadan zone will hold today (May 15) and tomorrow (May 16) at Adeoyo Maternity Teaching hospital, Yemetu Ibadan.
The schedule for the programme in other zones is as follows:
- Ibarapa zone – May 18 and May 19, 2017
- Eruwa and Saki zone, at State Hospital, Saki – May 22 and May 23, 2017
- Oyo zone and Iseyin zone at General Hospital, Iseyin – May 30 and May 3
- Ogbomoso zone at the State Hospital, Ogbomoso – June 1 and June 2, 2017
The Commissioner noted that Governor Ajimobi will also unveil for use the recently donated two million dollars worth of medical equipment which arrived recently from the United States of America at the Cardiovascular Center of the State Hospital, Adeoyo, Ibadan.
