Akwa Ibom state on Wednesday recieved two of the three aircrafts acquired for Ibom Air, the state-owned airline.
The planes arrived Lagos Tuesday night and is expected to make its inaugural flight to Uyo, Akwa Ibom state today.
The planes arrived Tuesday night and the airline is expected to kick off commercial operations soon. The airline will fly the Lagos-Abuja route.
The third aircraft is expected to arrive in a few days time, Governor Udom Emmanuel said on Tuesday during a visit to the Shelter Afrique residence of former Governor Victor Attah in Uyo.
The planes are being expected to land at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, anytime from now.
