The immediate past ALGON Chairman in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye (MDII) has commiserated with the family, Ogbomoso indigenes, and Oyo State Government over the demise of the former governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.
In a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, Abass-Aleshinloye said the death of the former governor was painful and sad.
The former ALGON boss described Alao-Akande as an illustrious son of Oyo State, who distinguished himself creditably in his career as a brave and top police officer.
Abass-Aleshinloye acknowledged Alao-Akala’s selfless service and immeasurable contributions to nation building, especially his legacies in Oyo State where he served “meritoriously as a governor.”
He said Oyo State would sorely miss the former governor, describing him as a selfless and vibrant politician who brought Ogbomoso and Oyo State to high pedestal of development.
“As we mourn his passage, may almighty God give his family, friends, constituents and associates the fortitude to bear the loss,” he said.
He prayed that God Almighty will grant him eternal rest.
