The Accord House of Representatives candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency and immediate past ALGON chairman in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye (MDII), has congratulated Accord governorship candidate in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and former Head of Service in Oyo State, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Ogunesan, on the conferment of the national honours awards of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) respectively by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement he personally signed, Aleshinloye said the former CBN deputy governor deserved the national award, having demonstrated core attributes of a democrat in his national assignment and his immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of CBN, where he worked as the deputy governor for four years.
“I am glad to be associated with the person and political vision of the Oyo Accord guber candidate. Having distinguished himself as a professional accountant in his service to the nation. Also, to his credit, Adelabu has tremendously contributed to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by employing Nigerians to his various organisations. Data showed that more than three thousand Nigerians are in the employment of his various companies spread across the country. Hence, there is no gainsaying the fact that the man deserves the award conferred on him.
“Adelabu has a remarkable and credible record of simplicity and humility in public service, with a proclivity for bringing harmony and stability into governance,” he said.
While congratulating Ogunesan, Aleshinloye commended the former Head of Service for her immense contributions to the development of women.
“Over the years, you have emblazoned your name as a philantropist, an advocate of social justice and voice for the voiceless.
“There is no doubt in my mind that this national award from the President will encourage both of you to do more for the good people of Oyo State in particular and Nigerians in general,” the former ALGON boss said.
