The Accord House of Representatives candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, has said he will prioritise the welfare of the people of his constituency if elected to represent them at the green chamber of the national assembly, urging the electorate to vote for him.
The former ALGON chairman stated this during the commemoration of Shoemakers’ Day, organised by the Oyo State Shoemakers Association of Nigeria, at Top One Garden, Podo, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
He said the shoemakers association is part of his programmes in terms of genuine empowerment and would pursue legislation aimed at promoting the well-being and welfare of the artisans.
“In all modesty, I have assured you all of a new dawn in the history of legislative representation in Oluyole Federal Constituency. I have equally, promised to represent the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency with commitment, integrity and passion, leveraging on all the political and social capital I have acquired over three decades as a social activist, media practioneer, local government and ALGON chairman, respectively. Most importantly as a proud son of Oluyole, who grew up in ibadan, attended public school in Oyo State and has lived and worked continuously in Oluyole Federal Constituency for the past three and a half decades, I will continue to empower youths, women, elders and carry out human capital and infrastructure development in Oluyole communities.
“I have done this before as a local government chairman and will sustain and enhance such pro-people programmes.
I will put my constituency as priority in the legislative chamber by sponsoring several bills for the interest of Oluyole Federal Constituency and Nigerians at large in the house, if elected.
“I will consider it as the greatest honour of my life if you, my people in Oluyole Federal Constituency, find me worthy to represent you at the House of Representatives on the platform of Accord. I, therefore, urge you all to turn out in large numbers to elect me as the next member, House of Representatives for Oluyole Federal Constituency,” he said.
