Accord House of Representatives candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency and former chairman, Oluyole Local Government, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Alesinloye, has assured that he will continue to put in place activities that will promote meaningful youth engagement in the constituency.
Speaking at the final of a football tournament he sponsored, Aleshinloye explained that the competition was organised to encourage youths to be meaningfully engaged, take them out of the streets and also discover talents which will in the future represent the nation at international competition.
He said the competition has been ongoing for years, assuring that the competition will continue even after his election into the House of Representatives next year.
The former ALGON chairman in Oyo State said many great men and women have been discovered through grassroots sports, who are now doing well for themselves and for the nation.
Abass-Aleshinloye added that one of his cardinal objectives if elected into the House of Representaives to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency is youth development, which he said he has shown over the years in all the positions he found himself, adding that he will not relent.
He urged the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency to support him through their votes, so that he can do more and sustain all the good initiatives he started years back.
He appealed to residents of the state to support all Accord candidates in the general elections.
In his message, the Accord governorship candidate in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu (OFR) commended Abass-Alesinloye for enagaging the youths. He described the former Oluyole Local Government chairman as a leader in the party, due to his political clout and contributions to politics, not only in Oyo State but Nigeria in general.
Adelabu stressed that Accord remained the only true people-oriented political party that believed in the power of youth to turn things around positively.
Also speaking, the Director General,Oyo Accord Campaign Council and chairman, Solutions 93.9FM, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, thanked Abass-Aleshinloye and the “good people of Oluyole Federal Constituency for their support towards the success of this year’s Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye annual football competition.”
Adegoke promised that the Accord will continue to work towards grassroots sports development, adding that residents of the state should expect more programmes that will benefit the youth if the party win the forthcoming general elections.
In the final of the competition, Wasiu Taiwo Football Club defeated Dogo Football Club 3-0 to lift the trophy.

Akeem Adeoye; party members; CAN representatives and League of Imams form Oluyole Local Government; coaches, different associations,ex-Nigerian international, Wasiu Taiwo among others.
