Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and his Jigawa state counterpart, Governor Sule Lamido on Sunday held a closed door meeting at the presidential lodge in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the meeting started at about 10:05 a.m. and ended by 11:30 a.m.
Lamido is the Coordinator of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation for North-West zone while Amaechi is the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation.
Both governors left the meeting venue in separate vehicles without a word to journalists.
It was also gathered they attended the meeting with the APC Chieftain in the state, Alhaji Farouq Aliyu, and the party’s candidate for Jigawa Central Senatorial district, Alhaji Sabo Nakudu.
