The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mr Joe Igbokwe, gave an insight into the plan of his party on Friday.
He insisted that his party would remove the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, from the position in due time.
Igbokwe gave the assurance on a Channels TV programme, the Road Show, on Friday.
Igbokwe said that the need became imperative because of the body language of the senator in the way he has been rolling out drums to celebrate what he described as “sabotage” in the election of the National Assembly leadership.
Senator Ekweremadu, who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emerged the Deputy Senate President in a deal that also produced Bukola Saraki as Senate President.
He said: “We will bring him out of that position. The same strong human spirit that we used to defeat them in the face of all the huge resources is what we will use to bring him out. We will do everything within our capacity to get him out (of that position.)”
