The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has been declared the winner of the House of Representatives seat for Oluyole Federal Constituency, after Saturday’s supplementary election.
Akande-Sadipe, who is the chairman, House Committee on Diaspora, polled 14,891 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Mojeed Mogbonjubola od the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 13,073 votes.
Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye of Accord had 5,585 votes to place third while Labour Party’s Bamidele Ilelabayo scored 4,893 votes to finish fourth.
With her victory, Akande-Sadipe will begin her second term in the green chamber when the national assembly is inaugurated in June.
