The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is set to hold on to power in Ambers State its candidate in the ongoing governorship election in the state, Prof. Charles Soludo is leading in two-thirds of the local government areas in the state.
Senator Ifenayi Ubah of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have won one local government each.
Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is yet to win any local government.
Results of five local government areas are still being expected.
Although there are 21 local government areas in Anambra State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation officer for Ihiala local government has declared that election did not hold in the local government.
From the results of 15 local governments announced so far, Soludo has a total of 89,490 votes in 13 local governments, followed by PDP’s Ozigbo with 43,142, While Uba of APC has 35,788 votes.
