A Canadian immigration firm, APS Global
Partners, has simplified the pathways for African entrepreneurs wanting to migrate to Canada.
The firm, in a detailed statement by its Africa Regional Manager, Zacheaus Somorin, explained the simple steps, documents required and how the firm can assist interested applicants in achieving their dreams of moving to the North American country with their families.
According to Somorin, the the Canadian government had recently announced a new path to immigration to Canada. He said the new pathway is a program for startups, meaning that if a person has a business idea, he can move to Canada for permanent residence and obtain a Canadian passport subsequently.
“A Canadian passport is a visa-free entry into about 172 countries,” Somorin said.
The statement read in part: “Access to the social security system begins shortly after the arrival in Canada. This includes free healthcare, education, retirement, and social protection. To obtain a Canadian Permanent Resident Visa under this program, one must be admitted to one of the business incubators, an angel investor group or a venture capital fund authorized by the government of Canada. Once a person is accepted, he gets a so-called Support Letter. This document is the basis for obtaining a residence permit through the Canadian Startup Visa Program.”
He listed documents required to file an application for the programme as a medical certificate, police certificate about the absence of a criminal record, proof of language proficiency and a bank statement for the minimum Funds Required to settle in Canada.
