It was gathered that Isaac was on a commercial motorcycle on his way home from work around 8pm when the incident happened.

The armed robbers, who were said to be trying to snatch the motorcycle on which he rode, reportedly pulled the trigger when the rider resisted them.

A source said the commissioner confirmed that two hospitals rejected the victim before he eventually gave up the ghost.

Meanwhile, a farmer, Adoja Tanaku, has been beheaded after a brief argument with his friend, identified simply as Joseph, at Bakatari in Ido local government area, Ibadan.

Both men were said to be from Benin Republic.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, said the body of the victim had been deposited in a morgue, while Joseph is in custody.

He added that Isaac’s case was being investigated at the Eleyele Police Division
