Following the directive of the national leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), many branches of the union have voted for the suspension of the eight months strike.
Most of the ASUU branches, who conducted the exercise, voted to suspend the strike conditionally or based on the court order.
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of ASUU will meet on Thursday, October 13, to decide on the votes by its branches.
As of Wednesday evening, 26 branches have voted for the suspension of the strike.
