The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has assured his supporters that the battle to retrieve their “stolen mandate” was on the way.
The PDP presidential candidate spoke through the Director, Public Affairs of PDP Presidential Campaign Committee, Senator Dino Melaye, in Abuja, on Wednesday.
According to Malaye, weeping may tarry till night but joy cometh in the morning, stressing that grave injustice shall not stand.
“A clarion call on all Atiku’s supporters all over the world not be perturbed.
“Weeping may tarry till night but joy cometh in the morning. The grave injustice shall not stand.
“The battle to retrieve our stolen mandate is a battle of no retreat, no surrender. We shall overcome,” he said.
He spoke against the backdrop of the announcement of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as winner of last Saturday’s presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Tinubu and the Vice President-Elect, Kashim Shettima, were presented with their Rertificates of Return by the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, in Abuja, on Wednesday.
