The seventh season of one of Nigeria’s most popular reality singing shows, Nigerian Idol, will soon hit the airwaves.
Multichoice Nigeria, organisers of the show, announced that the two-week audition exercise which began on Sunday, November 14, would end on November 28, 2021.
Multichoice has rolled out instructions for the auditions, which will be held online in its preliminary stage.
To audition for the season 7 of the singing competition, interested contestants are to upload a 60-second video of them singing any song of their choice to www.africamagic.tv/nigerianidol.
Interested contestants should also note that only persons between the ages of 16 to 30 are eligible to audition for the show.
The announcement comes barely four months after Kingdom Kroseide emerged as the winner of the season 6 of the show on July 11, 2021.
Announcing the commencement of the audition for season 7, Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria, Busola Tejumola, said: “MultiChoice remains committed to promoting and giving young music talents in Nigeria a platform to shine and actualize their dreams. Season seven promises to be even bigger and more entertaining. So if you believe you have what it takes to be the next Nigerian Idol, be a part of the auditions starting November 14.”
The show, sponsored by Bigi drinks, will start airing on DStv and GOtv channels from February 2022.
