Former Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to relocate the army headquarters from Abuja to Maiduguri in order to fight Boko Haram insurgency.
Speaking on Channels TV via telephone this afternoon, the former governor said the move will make no difference brcause the challenges faced in the fight against the insurgency was not a question of distance.
His words: “I don’t think relocating army headquarters will make any difference. What is required now is to know what exactly is Boko Haram and then properly equipping the military”
President Buhari in his inauguration speech this morning said the army headquarters will be relocated to Maiduguri in order to better tackle Boko Haram.
“The military command centre will not be situated in Abuja, but Maiduguri until Boko Haram is defeated”, he had said.
